The Porsche 911 has come a long way before the 996 generation arrived, the fifth reincarnation of the iconic rear-engine sports car concept. Produced from 1997 to 2006, it differed significantly from its predecessor with an entirely new platform and, for the first time, water-cooled engines. While they remained flat six-cylinder engines, they were now cooled by liquid rather than air. As for the engines, various versions were available, all with four-valve technology, with some turbocharged (Turbo, etc.). All-wheel drive was also available, alongside the coupe, a convertible and the traditional Targa were offered.
The offered Porsche 911 is more of a purist’s car – it’s a Carrera 2 version. The European version delivers a total output of 320 horsepower at 6, 800 rpm and 370 Nm of torque from the 3, 596 cm³ engine with Bosch DME injection. It’s worth noting that the engine already meets Euro 3 standards and features a three-way catalytic converter and lambda sensor. Weighing 1, 430 kg, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/ h in 5 seconds, with a top speed of 285 km/ h. Power is transferred via a six-speed manual transmission.
The car is in very good condition, with its elegant silver body adorned by an aero package. With a total mileage just over 100, 000 km, an overall original state, and regular maintenance, it’s an excellent offer for the growing number of enthusiasts who are seeking a 996. With a fair price, it won't stay on the market for long. For more information, feel free to contact us directly or by phone.
