Description
Peugeot 205 gti, laser green, 1991, 74000 miles, 8 months mot, where to start, it's good condition re sprayed a couple of years back, so still looking pretty fresh, its not pristine, if your looking for an original unmolested gti its not for you. The car started life as a 1. 9gti but was converted to 2. 0 turbo xu10j2te way back in 2010, conversion is fairly neat and tidy, with all gauges working. It's running a modest 13psi of boost. So pretty exciting compared to your usual gti. Engine is pretty standard besides exhaust, air filter, turbo fuel pump, larger injectors and fuel regulator for the increased boost, 4 core radiator as these engines get rather hot. Brakes have been fully rebuilt recently so new seals pistons, discs, pads, hoses and pipes, the front brakes are the 306 gti-6 discs and calipers. Suspension wise it's has uprated shock absorber and has been lowered, new bushes fitted to the lower arms, new top mount bushes and bearings, new drop links and d rubbers. Rear beam has had the sandwich mounts replaced. driveshafts have had the boots replaced and new grease, new track rods and steering rack gaiters. Gearbox oil replaced, gear linkage has had its typical 90's short shift fitted. Exterior is pretty much standard spec besides the auto bonnet which i have always prefered, it has had a sunroof fitted at some point in its life, pretty standard back then even the main dealers were retro fitting them. I do have a original vacuum one which is included in the sale, which would make it look more original, which should be to difficult to install. Wheels are speedlines with new toyo tyres Inc spare. Very recent new turbo chra and alternator fitted. New cambelt and water pump fitted beginning at the year. Interior is in average condition for its age, seats and in good nick, dash board has seen better days, I do have a spare to chuck in with it, the instrutment cluster cowling is abit cracked and i was holding out for a new one of these before swapping the dash. All electric windows work and central locking with aftermarket key fob. Aftermarket cd player, with boost gauge hidden in the center console. Car is pretty solid. Underneath underseal couple of years back after having a fair amount of welding done new sill, front head lamp panels and inner arch repairs. Quite alot of new parts fitted new headlights, indicators. Door seals, front driving lights(which aren't wired in) engine mounts, gearbox mounts etc. Overall a good usable classic, and much more fun than your usual gti.
