Description
For sale is this excellent 1930 Humber 16/ 50 Mk 2. It has twin mounted mounted spare wheels and an original rear trunk. I have owned this car since 1999 . I purchased the car from a lovely family in Blackpool. The car was then taken to The Humber Workshop in Suffolk where the following repairs were carried out.
A complete engine rebuild along with clutch and gearbox. Replaced Andre Hertford front shock absorbers, removed . re-sealed and repainted petrol tank. Both starter motor and dynamo have been refurbished/ rewound.
The bodywork and chassis stripped down to bare metal and painted in Ivory and Black to an amazing finish that still looks fantastic today, with no visual signs of any necessary further attention. The chrome brightware is in excellent condition. Interior leather is all original with a lovely patina. The headlining and carpets have been replaced. The windscreen and window glass have also been replaced.
The gear box is smooth and has an easy change action and the engine pulls strongly.
There is an extensive history file from the previous owner.
During my ownership every single item of work/ repair that was required was carried out immediately and I have kept a mileage and fuel log along with a history of all the repairs etc.
