- I present my car for sale. I bought it in August of this year as a second car but I need the money to do some work on my Audi 80 which is a keeper. I bought it in late August of this year on 127, 006 miles and have done about 1900 trouble free miles so far. The engine, gearbox and turbo seem in good health (although my mechanical knowledge is limited). I have not had any warning lights. All it needed for it's recent mot was an indicator bulb. It would make for a good cheap daily driver. It's very comfortable, has enough power and with cruise control is good long distance wagon.
I am happy to answer any questions or provide further pictures. I am open to sensible negotiation.
I have tried to be as honest as I can about the car as I don't want to mislead or waste anyone's time. It does have a few issues however they are pretty much all cosmetic and driving wise it is a solid car.
Location: Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14Good bits
- Brakes and tyres are fairly good so shouldn't need doing anytime soon
- Pulls well under acceleration
- Front wheel alignment done shortly after purchasing
- New set of fitted mats after purchasing
- Replaced a rear reflector which won't come up on the next mot
- Aircon works
- All HVAC and radio controls work
- Both dipped beam bulbs changed last weekend
- New rear wiper blade
- New official key shell for the main key (has 2 keys)
- Last had a service in August if this year
- Passenger side mirror cover replaced with a new fresh painted one
- The fancy dash cup holder works (I was too scared to use it, ha, ha!)
Bad bits
- I bought the car with the rear passenger door damaged so sourced and fitted a clean door however it was from an Aero spec so has the painted door handle. The door card was switched over from my original door which I still have and is complete except for the door card. You can have it for free if you would like to switch the door handle over or sell for parts.
- Has quite common door lock issue when sometimes one or moor door locks won't lock or unlock on the central locking. Sometimes the door nubbin needs to be pushed up or down by hand. Seems to be random which doors it affects.
- Paint work is in average condition. Some scratches, stonechips and small dents in a few places
- Small visible chip near drives side of windscreen however I have had it professionally filled and treated so shouldn't get worse
- Drivers window is a bit squeaky, especially in warm dry weather. I think it is due to the age of the rubber weather strips, but not quite sure.
- Interior has some wear and a few small areas of damage but nothing too bad. The drivers bolster is not too bad.
- High tax bracket of £710 a year
- All wheels need refurbishing
- Rear drivers side door has a bit of water ingress from the bottom of the seal when it rains. I think this would be fixed with a new seal.
