Description
Honda CBX1000B Pro-Link
1982 historic vehicle (tax & MOT exempt), 44, 500 miles.
This motorcycle has just had thousands of pounds and hundreds of hours invested into it to restore it to its former glory. This has been a full ‘nut and bolt’ restoration (by a 1980’s Honda factory-trained technician) and has had a full respray.
The engine has been stripped, inspected and rebuilt with new cam chains, tensioners, primary chain, oil pump chain, piston rings, valve stem seals and more. The carbs were overhauled with new o-rings, float needles, gaskets, etc. While the engine was stripped it also had the cylinder head lightly ported and valves polished to smooth the gas flow.
Other new parts fitted include: front and rear tyres (Bridgestone Battlax), front and rear brake pads, chain and sprockets, 24Ah high capacity Motobatt battery, fork seals, brake calliper and master cylinder seal kits, brake hoses, fuel tank cap and tap, etc.
It has a stainless steel 6-into-2 exhaust system and the engine protection bars have been re-chromed.
Please see the photos for more detail and to appreciate the condition this is in.
As you could imagine, this iconic, historic motorcycle is a real head-turner and conversation-starter.
I have the V5 in my name.
I may consider a part exchange (either motorcycle(s) or campervan) if you have something which interests me.
