Description
Dry stored for the last 12 years and recommissioned extensively over the last 6 months. Superb original early 110 Station Wagon. Originally a turbo diesel, it was retrofitted by Land Rover themselves with a 200Tdi engine and short shaft R380 gearbox - the unicorn of engine/ gearbox combinations. Not only has the 110 been extensively restored cosmetically but it has been fully serviced and prepared with all galvanised and stainless hardware where possible.
A truely exclusive build retaining a heritage look using galvanised series 2 split doors to complement the full soft top conversion by Exmoor Trim. The interior has been transformed in the style of the original station wagon, the 109 with classic tan seats, again by Exmoor Trim and finished with matching cubby box and rear bench seats. The 110 is now a 9 seater (originally 12 which can be an issue for insurance purposes).
Further enhancements to the interior include a custom aluminium dash and Momo vintage steering wheel. The 110 drives without fault and sounds strong yet quite with the custom full stainless exhaust system from Demand engineering.
New brakes, shocks and steering damper are just a few items that were included in the refit to ensure the 110 drives as well as the day it was built. Safety has also been inproved with all new wheels, tyres and seatbelts throughout in addition to the full LED side lights fitted. One of only a handfull of converted five door sort top 110s in the world and even more exclusive with the inclusion of fully galvanised Series 2 split doors. This means that the entire roof can be removed along with all the door tops and the windscreen can be folded down. A truely open air experience. This Land Rover is over 25 years old and eligble for export.
