Description

Finally, I am selling my beloved X1/ 9. I've owned it for the past 11 years, so this is a regrettable sale, to say the least. Due to an imminent self-build project, I'm going to lose storage.

This cracking little car has given me many fun days out and was always admired. X1/ 9's are a rare sight at any classic car show now and this one regularly drew genuine interest when I used to show it.

In arguably the best colour for an X1/ 9, this car has a long history file being magazine featured multiple times. It's been previously owned by X1/ 9 enthusiasts, hence the subtle improvements over the standard car. Fitted with super rare genuine steel 1300 bumpers, the look of this car was just as Bertone intended.

Although started and driven regularly, the car has been off the road since 2015, so will require some jobs to bring back up to MOT spec, but still a very worthy project. It runs and drives, with the clutch and brakes working. A little tune up wouldn't go a miss though. The main bits that would need sorting are that the driver's side headlamp is reluctant to pop up on the motor, this can only be the contacts in the motor, as once wound up manually, the motor happily returns it down. I would suggest servicing the brakes as they are also binding.

There are some paint bubbles around the car, in particular the rear wheel arches, windscreen scuttle and engine cover. I managed to source another very nice condition engine cover that will be included in the sale.
It does have age related chips, touch ups and small dents here and there, but on the whole still a very presentable little motor. The car has always been dry stored indoors throughout my ownership.

Included are a good number of spares, from brake calipers, carbs, the engine lid and more. It still retains the original handbook and magazine features too.

To summarise, it's a great project, has some trick parts, a huge history file and bags of potential. I really hope it finds a good home as it'll be a sorely missed little car.

Will need to be trailered as no MOT, I can have transport arranged at a reasonable cost.
