Description
Bristol 400 manufactured by the Bristol Aeroplane Company in 1949. The car was owned by my father for over 50 years. He owned a number of Bristol engine cars, and bought this one in the early 1970s, restored it and used it regularly until 2020. The car was sometimes used as a tow-vehicle for my father's Lotus XI, including to the filming of Dance with a Stranger which includes a scene at a recreated 1950s sports car race.
The car is slightly tired-looking now and would benefit from some care and attention. The engine starts and runs well. The car is well-known to the Bristol Owners' Club.
