Description
1996 Toyota Celica GT-Four
The ST205 Celica GT-Four is a icon from the glory days of rallying. A coupe with full time all wheel drive and a turbocharged four cylinder engine, the 3S-GTE. They were built to compete in the World Rally Championship and were very successful.
This particular car is rather rare being 1 of 83 ever made in Emerald Green Metallic 6M1
It has been off the road since it failed its MOT in 2019. Since then it has been worked on and a few jobs have been ticked off the list, but it still does need some work. Recently its had the fuel system gone through, the tank has been cleaned out and repainted and its had new tank straps, hardware, lines and filler neck. Its also had a new power steering cooler, a coolant leak fixed and new battery
What it needs next is a bit of recommissioning and a few brake lines replaced, one has popped. A clutch line was also mistakenly removed so now the clutch pedal is spongey and needs bleeding. But it does run very well and drives
Bodywork wise, the paintwork is very tatty. There is marks, scratches, dents and lacquer peel all over. The underside looks good, the only rust i can see is a hole on the driver front floorpan and the rear inner arch corners look a little soft
Interior is in good condition, its all complete. It also has a really rare Toyota option, an air purifier mounted on the rear parcel shelf
It comes with lots of receipts for parts through the years mainly from TCB Performance. Includes invoice for a cambelt kit in 2019. Also included is the original Toyota handbook and two keys
Imported in 1999, believe it was accident damaged shortly after - cannot see any signs of this now
Would make a good winter project
