Believed to be one of only two non "S" saloon cars left.
Registered on 1 August 1975 (one presumes the original owner waited a few weeks as in those days new registrations were only on 1st August each year!) the car has 25, 318 miles on the clock. Tax and MOT free, although the car has a fresh MOT for peace of mind.
The car is essentially rust free and the condition is commensurate with the mileage. The paintwork also looks to be original.
I purchased the car in April 2018 and I am just the third owner in 49 years!
It is not an "S" model, but has a sliding metal sunroof and bumper overriders.

- Brake fluid changed
- Radiator flushed and refilled with antifreeze solution
- Oil change
This is verified by the picture showing the receipt from Dexel.
I have also replaced the air filter and screenwash fluid.
Since owning the car I have had the following work done:-
- Replacement metal number plates.
- Full stainless steel exhaust.
- Five Bridgestone B381 tyres.
- Securon inertia reel seatbelts.
- Reversing lights enabled.
- Kenwood KDCX5200BT CD/ tuner with bluetooth and handsfree operation fitted in the correct radio housing accessory.
- Four new Pioneer speakers, discreetly fitted, not in the door cards.
- Rechromed Lion badge.
- Headlight bulb adapters to fit H4 halogen bulbs.
- Recent Yuasa battery
I also have an exceptionally rare Peugeot roofrack accessory. It bolts onto those four roof tabs on each corner of the roof.
The car starts quickly and idles cleanly with a little choke. Recently did a trip of 160 miles and it got lots of attention. The car is now ready for any journey.

Nine years later I saw it for sale in County Cork, Eire, advertised as a Berline. I bought it and had it shipped over. Amongst the folder of documents was an ad from vrc198 so I contacted the dealer from years ago and they kindly supplied me a set of their original photos, which confirmed the car was the one I saw years before. The delaership is still in business, but under the name TimCollins.
