An opportunity to obtain an original home market RHD TR4A - a genuine two owner motorcar that has been in it's present ownership since 1977. The car comes complete with an extensive history file with considerable expense. A full engine rebuild at 92, 000 miles with invoices. We saw the car last in the winter months 2019/ 20 when we carried out minor chassis repairs and servicing and got the motorcar through an MOT. Since that time the car has spent much of its time outside under covers and has hardly been used. Our client has asked that we represent him in the sale as after considerable thought has decided that he does not want to wait for a lengthy time period for us to carry out a restoration. We are already committed to numerous projects. Retirement has re sparked his classic interest and he wants a car to use now and we are already actively looking for him.
As one can see in the photos we have removed front wings and doors in order to carry out a more detailed inspection. The struts are in place purely as a belt and braces measure. New sills are required and we have a complete set of new sills and ends that will go with the car. Front wings are originals and will require the typical repair lower panels. Floors could be repaired, however, we would recommend new floor panels. Carpets and original TR4A hood frame are present along with hood cover and tonneau. All brightwork is present. Engine turns freely and gets oil pressure up quickly. Weber 45 carburettors with SAH manifold and a fast road cam will get this 4A nicely down the road. There are 4 and or 4A seats available along with a Surrey top that will be offered separately as an additional spares package.
