For sale is this my 1957 Excelsior 250 Talisman twin STT1. The Talisman has Excelsior's own STT1 250 twin-engine, not as some people think a Villiers. Rare to see a Talisman nowadays, especially in green. They are a lovely smooth bike to ride with a distinctive exhaust note, in my opinion far better than the Villiers twin, especially with the four-speed Albion gearbox, Two years ago the bike underwent a full professional nut and bolt restoration to show standard (please note, the paint look dull in the photos it`s not just a dull day) including Devon Co stainless rims and spokes, As it has just been on display in my private collection It has only covered 25 miles since and will need further running in. Finished in its original green with matching seat, original frame and engine numbers along with its original reg number, old and new log books, a large history file, along with a few Excelsior club mags and recipes, it`s running superbly and ready to ride or show.
