Description

Aston Martin DBS 6 cylinders Vantage specification - Left hand drive - Mechanical gearbox - Matching numbers & colour - Olive green metallic / Hermes red leather interior - European origin - Aston Martin certificate of authenticity - Expert report available - Total restoration on "tourne broche" - Restoration file with step by step photos delivered with the car - Belgian documents - Possibility to be delivered with a French collector's registration document. Aston Martin DBS Series 1 Coupé, 1970.

The DBS was the successor to the DB6 and the last Aston Martin to be developed and built under the control of David Brown. Like the DB5, the DBS became famous thanks to the most famous of secret agents: 007.
Indeed, the DBS appeared in the 1969 James Bond film 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service'.

The Aston Martin DBS was intended to be fitted with a V8 engine built by Aston Martin.
As this engine was not ready in time (deemed heavier and no more powerful), the first series of DBS was fitted with the DB6's 3, 995 cm3 in-line six-cylinder engine delivering 282bhp in Saloon version and 325bhp in Vantage version. Our example, which was sold new in Belgium, has been magnificently restored. The full restoration took 5 long years... Since then, the car has covered just 500 kilometres.

Only 802 examples of the Aston Martin DBS Series 1 were built. It is a true piece of Aston Martin and David Brown heritage.
