Hello, today L'atelier des 1000 presents for sale this beautiful Triumph Tr5 in an elegant configuration with this New White colour, its black interior with white piping and black soft top. Our example was registered on 09/ 07/ 1968. Originally from Sweden, it has never left the country before today. The last owner kept it for 27 years before selling it to us recently. We have a file of invoices dating back to 1982. The engine is in perfect health, starting easily without noise or smoke. A basic service will be carried out for the sale. The exhaust is in good condition, revealing a hoarse sound typical of Triumph 6-cylinders.
As far as the running gear is concerned, the suspension does its job effectively and the steering has no abnormal play. As for the brakes, they are perfectly effective and balanced, and the hoses and master cylinder will be replaced for the sale.
The original rims are in perfect condition, the front tyres are in good condition and the rear tyres will be replaced for the sale. The bodywork was stripped bare and restored in the 90s before being painted in its original New White tint. More than 30 years later, it still looks very good despite some slight marks from the passage of time.
The bodywork alignments have been respected. Inspection of the underbody reveals a sound, well-maintained car, with no perforating or structural corrosion to be found. The chrome is gleaming. The vinyl soft top is in very good condition and a soft top cover is supplied. The upholstery is in good condition and has a nice overall patina. The dashboard has no cracks and all the instrumentation works. The wooden dashboard is also in good condition. A wooden Moto Lita steering wheel and knob have been fitted and add a British touch to the interior. French registration in collection Delivery possible throughout France.
