For sale: Citroën AX "Spot", 74500 kms, 5 doors, 5 speed manual gearbox, 50 bhp. 1st registration: 08/ 10/ 1997 (Vintage 98). Elio" fabric upholstery, intermittent front wiper, rear wiper, trip meter, 3-spoke steering wheel, 2 door mirrors adjustable from the inside, lockable petrol filler cap.
Recent work carried out on it: - Changed suspension wishbones, 2 differential bushes, universal joint, rear brake kit, handbrake cables, spare tyre, spark plugs, cylinder head gaskets and rocker covers, cylinder head bolts, battery.
- Treatment of the hollow bodies with wax, and of the underside with colourless rustproofing in 2021. - Distribution kit, air and fuel filters, starter and TDC sensor replaced in 2021 at 63, 000 kms. - Bleeding of the brake and cooling fluids. It would seem, however, that the cylinder head has a problem, despite the work carried out last year. I've driven the car for a year without any problems, but the cooling system is currently building up pressure again. I'm supplying an extra right-hand rear door to recover the entire opening system, as well as a new thermostat. Minor bodywork to be carried out. The petrol tank is almost full: I've only driven 30 km since the last refuelling. Functional boot lock. Carpet has no holes, roof lining is clean. Car radio and floor mats supplied. Recent windscreen. In view of the expense and effort that has gone into this car, I don't want it to go to a wrecker. Having inherited another car, I no longer use this AX, and I would like to sell it to an enthusiast, who will be able to give it a second life at a lower cost. The current registration certificate is in order, in my name. I will give a copy of the keys.
