Description
- HUSQVARNA ( Hoosk-var-na) WR 450cc "Desert Master". Trying to find the ultimate desert racer, Husqvarna set out to do just that. With development rider and high-flying racer, the famous Californian desert racer Malcolm Smith, worked with the factory. By winning races, he helped perfect the machines for enduro, motocross and high-speed desert racing. With every victory from the Mint 400 to the Baja 1000 - As their name suggests, they were built to race in the great deserts of Southern California, which is why they were equipped with a larger fuel tank (Four Gallons). The 456cc time engine produced 46 hp, more than enough for this Husqvarna, with its 21/ 18 wheels and tyres to get you through sandy terrain - With a lack of power and suspect handling, as well as a high price for the time, the bike didn't sell as well as hoped. Our Husqvarna WR, is in ++ original condition, mechanically, everything seems to work, being that the seller, of this "Private Collection, Personal Museum" has had these motorbikes on display, for over 10 years. Of course this one hasn't seen the sand or the terrain for a few years!!!. (* Allow for an intervention, for it to work).
