Description
* 1970 NORTON 750 S COMMANDO* Unfortunately for sale due to arthritic back and prosthetic knee.
The last photo is of this bike in the January photo of the Norton Owners Club 2025 calendar. This is a full page with this bike in the foreground and another unrestored S type in the background. Restored to immaculate condition from 2020 to 2022 Engine number: 2CM3S/ 139462 Frame number: 139462 Only 4 miles raced on the road.
This fine example was imported from Arizona and has since undergone a very high quality restoration by an accomplished enthusiast, who has restored many motorbikes to concours standards over the last 12 years. He has incorporated his own personal touches, including a highly polished bare aluminium finish that reflects the customisation tastes of the late 60s and early 70s. A true rarity in France, it deserves to be seen not only for its immaculate condition but also for what it is: a rare model in a period style that has barely been seen.
Manufactured in September 1970 and initially exported to America Possibly one of a number of models built by the Norton factory as Type R and converted to S specification by the American dealer Known to have resided in Flagstaff, Arizona in 2010 Offered for sale with the French collection carte grise, a certificate of authenticity from the Norton Owners Club, the old Arizona certificate of title and a huge file of restoration invoices.
Since its completion, it has been kept in the garage and protected by dust covers. Still in pristine condition after its meticulous restoration, this is a very special machine with the potential to win prizes in classic and custom motorbike competitions. In addition, Boyer ignition, cartridge filter. Not serious, no carousel rides, price negotiable within reason, no exchanges, no outlandish offers, payment by bank transfer only and collection of the vehicle when the money is in the account.
