Description
Last roadworthiness test: Tuesday 22 October 2024 (see photos of the underside of the car taken during the test as if you were there yourself - I couldn't be more transparent and concrete) If you're serious about finding an exceptional XJ40, it's bound to catch your eye and the reasonable asking price will be secondary, bearing in mind that a reasonable discussion is possible in front of the car.
Please contact me only if you have a good idea of what you want! Points to remember: 1) the very low asymmetry of the brakes and suspension, worthy of a new car.
2) the low Co2 level (1%) which indicates a very well-tuned engine and therefore controlled fuel consumption (if you have a heavy foot, of course....ça goes up!) (unvarying idle at 750 rpm) 3) the exhausts are still original and in very good condition (no corrosion) with the Jaguar logo, a rarity which proves, if proof were needed, its mileage and general condition. 4) take a close look at the hidden side of the 4 wheels, 5) etc, etc. Sold new by Jaguar Pozzi in Lyon.

-- I have the original wheel covers. The wheels are protected by Jaguar anti-theft protection. On test, my car is quiet, powerful and fast with its 5-speed GETRAG gearbox, a rare option. The 3. 6L engine is a square engine (bore 91 x stroke 92), the sportiest in the range, the liveliest when revving up, especially with the mechanical gearbox, which serves it well right up to the red zone. Nothing to do with an automatic gearbox, which weighs more, consumes more, requires more maintenance and does not enhance the value of this 3. 6L engine, which is designed to rev up! Unlike the 4L engine, this car is reasonably priced at 12500 euros.
