With or without a windscreen, the Renault SPIDER was the first vehicle to be designed and marketed by the Renault Sport department, and marked the start of a concept that would remain unique and rarely seen. Only 1, 726 examples were produced, all assembled by hand at the Dieppe factory. A genuine concept car, approved to be driven on our roads. And yes ... before ... it was better!!! Our 10/ 1998 example, with only 10500 km, is in rare condition and completely original. Fully serviced, 4 new Michelin tyres, all belts, spark plugs, water pump, brake ducts, front and rear brake pads and all fluids replaced in February 2024. More than 4500 euros for this last invoice.
Its windscreen makes it easier to use, more versatile in everyday life and means you don't have to wear a helmet. Not compulsory, of course, but highly recommended.
Yellow and grey in colour, our example corresponds in every respect to the concept when it came out. With a Clio Williams engine, 150 bhp and a 5-speed gearbox, this car offers impressive performance thanks in particular to its all-aluminium chassis and fibre bodywork. Its weight of 930 kg without windscreen and 965 kg with windscreen makes it a dynamic and unusual car, thanks also to its wing doors.
