This beautiful Caterham Seven S3 has only had 2 owners, the first being the secretary of the Lotus Seven Register, and the second a great British sports car enthusiast who kept it for 30 years. It has always been cherished and looked after. The engine has been tuned to give it surprising vigour, with plenty of power available at all engine speeds, which is expressed freely through its magnificent little exhaust silencer.
The 4-speed gearbox is perfect, and the configuration is identical to that of the latest Lotus Seven S3s, giving you the driving authenticity not found on the most modern cars, with satisfactory reliability. The chassis and bodywork are in very good condition, and have recently undergone such work as a new and improved radiator, two new front brake callipers with pads, and a new master cylinder.
The rear brakes have also been rebuilt, with new linings and wheel cylinders. It will also be fitted with 4 new tyres. The roadworthiness test is OK, so it's ready to be registered in France as a collector's model for its new owner. It runs like a dream, and can be driven with the flick of a finger, adapting to your desire for a quiet ride with the wind at your back, or for more... extreme sensations. It has a soft top, of course, which is stored in its own special bag, and doors.
The bench-type seats, as on the Lotus Seven, are in leather and particularly comfortable. A very nice 'classic' model in terms of its configuration, its polished aluminium and green presentation, offering all the performance necessary for road use, or circuit use. A must-see and try if you're looking for a way to add another dimension and a lot of spice to your motoring life... without (too) much risk of becoming... pedestrian!
