1982 Corvette collector.
V8 5. 7L approx 200hp. TH700 3+1 auto gearbox. 46, 500 actual miles, or 74, 400 kms. A logbook allows you to follow the car's history in France. it remains as it was originally, including the functional car radio, only the air conditioning is not. it has a normal French registration and can of course be converted into a collector's registration. i have the original delivery notebooks for the car as well as the spare keys.
It was sold in March 1983 and spent its first 7 years in Florida, before arriving in France in 1990 where it was homologated (passed through the mines at the time) and registered in early 1991 and kept by the same owner until my purchase in 2019. A major overhaul was then carried out by a Corvette specialist with all the brakes, spark plugs, belts and hoses, 4 tyres etc. . I have changed the T-top gaskets, the seat covers are new (original kit), boot lining etc. All the invoices I have received are in my possession. All the invoices I have paid over the last 5 years will be supplied to the buyer (approx. €7000) The last MOT was in July 2024. The paintwork is original (except front and rear PC) and has a few defects (chips on the front), but looks pretty good for a car over 40 years old. I can supply the stripping kit (brown sticker strips all around the car, complete if needed). I use this car every month for "cars and coffee" outings, it starts right up and runs like clockwork. 1982 Corvette Collector Edition in original condition and very rare, 1 out of only 6759 produced. Fewer than 20 models registered in France.
The 1982 Collector Edition was the first Corvette with a hatchback rear window, foreshadowing the C4 Corvette, as well as two removable transparent roof sections (T-Top). A special colour scheme was used inside (leather upholstery) and outside (exclusive metallic gold paint). The special and exclusive aluminium wheels were designed to resemble the optional bolt-on wheels of the 1967 model. It was the first Corvette to sell for more than $20, 000, with a base price of $22, 537. 59. The Collector Edition has a "0" as the sixth digit of the VIN rather than the "8" found on standard Corvettes. This is the last C3 model produced with the Matching Numbers L83 350 CID V8 Cross Fire Injection engine from the 1984 C4 (no production in 1983), 700-R4 4-speed automatic transmission (instead of 3 on previous models).
