Hello , L'atelier des 1000 is pleased to present for sale this rare Mercedes 280 CE W114 first series in a sober and elegant configuration with its white non-metallic colour and its black interior. The upholstery is in good condition, as are the carpets and the roof lining. The dashboard has no cracks and the woodwork has a slight patina that suits it perfectly.
The instrumentation is functional. The original Bakelite steering wheel is present and in very good condition. The engine starts easily, without noise or smoke, and revs satisfactorily. The gearbox guides and locks its gears correctly, and the clutch shows no signs of weakness.
The exhaust has been replaced for sale.
The running gear is in good condition; the vehicle is supple and handles pleasantly. The steering has no abnormal play and the suspension does its job well. The brakes are effective and well balanced. The original sheet metal wheels have their body-coloured chrome hubcaps. Rare: all the period booklets and documentation are present.
