Description
At the pinnacle of Fords Premier Automotive Group in the year 2000, Aston Martin were given unprecedented levels of resources and finance to develop their entirely new Vanquish.
Bearing little resemblance to the outgoing Vantage V550 in terms of design production methods and performance, the all new Vanquish heralded the beginning of a new era for Aston Martin.
With a handcrafted aluminium body and revolutionary composite bonded chassis combined with levels of power performance and handling ability previously unthought of, Vanquish was firmly placed as a genuine contender to the best offerings that Germany and Italy were able to offer.
The final handcrafted car to be produced by Aston Martin at their Newport Pagnell Works, Vanquish received a significant update in 2005 with the introduction of the rare and now highly sought after Vanquish S. With performance increased to provide 520bhp and a top speed of 200mph, the Vanquish S was the most advanced and powerful road going Aston Martin built to date.
Production of the Vanquish S continued until 2007 just prior to Aston Martin relocating to their first entirely new and purpose built factory in Gaydon. This move signalled a more modern production process which effectively ended nearly 100 years of traditional methods used to create some of the most desirable sports cars made.
With the final 50 'Ultimate Edition' examples being delivered in July 2007, this Vanquish S is one of the very last models made and with just 15, 000 miles and an extensive and complete service history, offers one of the last truly coach built cars made by this most revered of British marques.
Finished in near perfect metallic Onyx black paint with Obsidian black leather interior and featuring final model developments including Satellite Navigation and Linn entertainment system.
With a recent service having been carried out by Aston Martin this Vanquish S provides a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a genuine piece of automotive history.
