Description
The Bentley T1 has always been the rarer sister car to the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow. 1 out of 10 examples was a Bentley, and technically there was no difference between both cars. The Bentley was often sold to people who intended to drive by themselves (and not driven by a chauffeur), and had a more rounded bonnet to suit the Bentley grille.
Our example was delivered new by Franco Brittannic Autos Ltd in Paris, and first registered on the 6th of September 1969 by a certain Mr. Paul Ueberschlag. The car was finished in the beautiful colour combination of Shell Grey with a single fine line in Brick Red, and an interior in Black Connolly Vaumol leather. When the car was restored in 2012, it retained this colour combination since and looks stunning. Since we acquired the car, a full brake and suspension overhaul was done, and a new exhaust fitted. The airconditioning system is overhauled and blows freezing cold air. Everything works well on the Bentley, and it offers quite a sophisticated ride for a 50 years old motorcar. The interior has a nice patina and the paint shows some small signs of use, but the general condition of this T1 is really good and finding a similar one with rare European LHD specification will be difficult.
This is a very cool car in discrete colour combination, and a classy sixties tourer seating 5 adults in all luxury. A perfect car to waft around this summer.
