Description
This 1960s Triumph Roadster 2000 Convertible boasts a wealth of history and impressive features. It features folding "dickey" seats in the rear and a replacement four-cylinder 2088cc Standard Vanguard engine installed in the early 1970s, which has logged only 943 miles since then. The car underwent a complete body-off restoration, including a newly fitted hood by the original Triumph manufacturer, Mr. Timms.
The Triumph has been meticulously maintained over the years and was personally owned by the legendary Scottish musician and broadcaster, Jimmie MacGregor MBE, since 1971. It spent 15 years on display at the Glasgow Transport Museum and was never exposed to rain during MacGregor's ownership.
The car has an all-aluminum body with heavy-duty fiberglass wings, and it was recently fitted with new tires that have less than 100 miles of use. The original leather interior remains in excellent condition. Accompanying the vehicle is an extensive history file, including the original owner's manual, registration documents, service records, restoration photos, and the current V5C document. This is a remarkable opportunity to acquire a piece of Scottish automotive history.
