Description
Offered for sale is a charming Morris Cowley dated from October 1928.
Unfortunately, we have no real history to pass on with this example aside from recognising that the registration ?VP 2943? suggests it was likely registered new in Birmingham and the current V5C lists a total of four registered owners.
It has undoubtedly been subject to restoration work over the years being in good running order, albeit not run properly for a year or so. It starts well and drives as well as you would expect from a Morris of this era. The canvas hood and side screens are showing their age a little and the paint is a little dull but generally it is a pleasant, honest van with potential! The interior is very sparse and functional with the seats covered in sacks.
The woodwork appears to be in good order throughout with no sign of rot or woodworm. There is some discolouration in places where the protective coating over the wood has been breached but this doesn't appear to have affected the condition of the wood itself.
It is fitted with the standard 1, 548 side-valve four-cylinder petrol engine.
The V5C is correct and present.
A charming example which has proven to attract the attention of many visitors to our showroom since arriving with us! It isn?t perfect but is a quaint classic which would give any owner years of enjoyment.
