Description
1928 Morris Cowley Tourer.
A well known and documented example of the famous Morris Cowley, this car was the subject of considerable restoration work in the early 1970s and has since been sympathetically used and maintained, meaning it now presents with a beautiful patina. While certainly not in show winning condition, the car is eminently useable and ideal for gentle summer meanderings at the gentler pace of life delivered by 27bhp.
The car is incredibly genuine, right down to its original Premier Motors London Ltd. dealer badge on the dashboard. The Morris retains its original engine, this having been the subject of a rebuild by Cookes of Leicester. While some information regarding its early history seems to have been lost, the car’s history since 1945 is well documented and it comes accompanied by a sizable history file. The file includes certification of authenticity from the Bullnose Morris Club, plus evidence of the car’s participation in a number of their tours and other events.
This fine old Vintage Morris represents a chance to buy a car in an ideal condition to give its new owner options. It can simply be maintained and enjoyed as it is, it could be the subject of a programme of gradual improvements, or it could form the basis of a more in depth restoration for someone looking for a project. The choice could be yours!
