Description
Originally supplied by St Hellier Garages Ltd, Rolls Royce, Jersey where it lived a sheltered life until 2016. Remarkably returning to the original main dealer where it started off 30 years earlier, taken back in part exchange, and purchased directly by myself from that dealership. Due to the aging and fading of the original Dark Ocean TPA (Therma Plastic Acrylic paint), which never did age well, a full strip and repaint was carried out, resulting in a car that resembled what would have stood new in the showroom new in 1986. A thorough mechanical examination and service was undertaken by Mulsanne Motors, Dalkeith to bring the car into line for what one would expect for a 12k miles car. Carefully prepared and detailed, prior to supplying to the next owner, who owned a sizeable collection of low mileage quality classic cars. Only covered a few hundred miles in the forthcoming years due to deteriorating health, and sadly now deceased. The car was acquired back again and drove the 320 miles back to Edinburgh without a single hiccup. I’m pleased to say that the coachwork remains reminiscent of the very day it left here in 2016, retaining its deep gloss and unblemished pristine sharpness. Extra specification includes integrated Cocktail Cabinets to the front doors, containing the original Gin flasks and Tonic still in the period 1986 bottles of the time! The complete original Book Pack remans intact, with the original RR service book, all pull outs, original Blaupunkt stereo and instructions, drivers welcome cassette and the original tax disc holder. The 2 sets of Yale chromed keys are the unmarked originals. Even the factory warning tag on the battery isolator switch remains undisturbed from 1986, which I’ve never seen before. Finished in the ultimate colour combination available at the time, I am convinced this is the nicest Corniche Convertible on offer. Quite simply unrepeatable. May P/ X (Registration excluded)
