Description
We are very pleased to offer for sale, this delightful and very rare four-seater PA Midget, looking very smart in its two-tone livery of Ulster Green and Dublin Green. The car was first registered in May 1935, and has been in the same ownership for the last 28 years. There is a large bundle of paperwork with the car, with many photographs showing its first restoration in the 1980s and an extensive refresh between 2007 and 2011. This latter restoration work was carried out to a good standard by The Carrosserie Company, and included a full body strip and re-paint (an excellent finish) and a mechanical overhaul including a major rebuild of the engine, which we understand has been uprated to PB engine specification - 939cc. The gearbox was also rebuilt, and much more besides. The upholstery, including leather faced seats and door cards, canvas hood and side screens were all renewed by Collingburn. There is also a hood cover and full tonneau. The car is therefore in very good condition throughout, and has been used regularly by the current owner. It starts easily and runs well, with good oil pressure, nice tight gearbox, purposeful brakes and good performance. All in all, great fun to drive. The underside is very clean and tidy, the wire wheels are good and are shod with matching Dunlop tyres. Realistically priced. MGB would be welcomed in part-exchange.
