This stunning Sayer70 Jaguar C-Type Evocation ‘9172 E’ was built to the early ‘51 Le Mans winning FIA specification, and is part of a limited run and the final of four painstakingly built road and historic race-ready examples.
These incredible recreations were built in commemoration of the then upcoming seventieth anniversary of Jaguar following their two outright wins at Le Mans in 1951 and 1953. The car(s) include many original components, including original C-Type cylinder head, Sandcast carburettors, and original period correct ‘three-point-four’ Xk engine block, then built by Sigma engineering to race specifications giving a genuine 270+bhp.
This C-Type is fitted with correct Sayer Race Specification moss gearbox and rear axle, on race specification drum braking system, as original design alloy race fuel tank, Custom Cage detachable FIA roll hoop, and custom FIA stainless race exhaust.
Finished in bronze with polished brass original grille and period tan leather seats; this C-Type is FIA correct, eligible, and holds a period road registration.
This exceptional vehicle comes with tested miles only, and is ready for use.
