Description
The automotive industry and the Hanse city of Bremen have belonged together since the beginning of the 20th century. There were the Hansa plants, NAMAG with the Lloyd brand and the Goliath brand. Carl F. W. Borgward and Wilhelm Tecklenborg founded Hansa-Lloyd and Goliath-Werke Borgward & Tecklenborg oHG as a new company in 1931. Tecklenborg left the company as a partner in 1937. The most successful design of the post-war period was the ravishingly beautiful Borgward Isabella Coupé, of which around 9, 500 were built between January 1957 and the end of 1960. It was well equipped with the Isabella TS engine (55 kW/ 75 hp).
Our Borgward Isabella Coupé was first registered in Berlin-Dahlem on 11 February 1960. The chic vehicle fitted in well with the elegant villa neighbourhood. From 1967 it was in 2nd hand and was decommissioned in 1970. From then on, the coupé spent its entire life in obscurity until it was rediscovered in 2020. It underwent a complete restoration, although the substance was still excellent. The classic car has been registered in Germany again since November 2021. You can acquire a truly top example of the beautiful Isabella here.
