Description
Introduced in 1993 to the public, the handsome new DB7 was Aston Martin's first six-cylinder model since production of the DB6 Mk. II had finished in 1971. Styled by Ian Callum, its lines were evocative of earlier Aston Martin models and elements of the DB4/ 5/ 6 could be seen in its design. Arguably one of the nicest looking cars ever produced by Aston Martin, the DB7 was well received and attracted new customers worldwide with its traditional layout of the curvaceous two-door coupé body and powerful six-cylinder engine. Power was supplied by an all-alloy double overhead camshaft supercharged 24 valve inline six-cylinder engine which produced 335 bhp @ 5750rpm. The supercharger was supplied by Eaton who also provided blowers for the mighty eight-cylinder Vantage that was produced at Newport Pagnell at the same time as the DB7 at Bloxham. Regarded by many as the purist modern Aston Martin, the DB7 will undoubtedly be a collectable car for years to come and is equally at home in the city or out on the open road. This right-hand drive, early production pre-air bag example has covered a mere 3, 632 miles from new and, as one would expect with such a low mileage, can only be described as in excellent condition throughout. Finished in the desirable launch colour scheme of Chiltern Green complemented by a Parchment and Forest hide interior and still wearing its rare Disc Alloy Wheels + it has a Sony Radio/ CD and comes with its original AML number plate. It has only had three owners from new with the first owner taking delivery on the 1st July 1995, but he did not register the car until the beginning of 1996. He kept the car for 10 years before it was sold to the second registered keeper in May 2015 with only 3, 196 miles on the odometer. He kept the car for one year putting only a few miles on it before selling the car a year later to the current owner in March 2016 and was placed in his private collection in storage. In March 2017 the car was taken to HWM Aston Martin in Walton-on-Thames where it was fully serviced and MOT'd after a couple of minor repairs including a new battery, and the mileage was recorded @ 3, 408 miles. The tyres have also all been renewed and it went back to HWM in 2018 for service and MOT at 3, 503 miles. Since then it has been serviced, maintained and MOT’d each year by Universal Classic Cars in Hampshire at the following times: 18th March 2019 Major Service 3, 540 miles 17th June 2020 Annual Service 3, 558 miles 10th June 2021 Annual Service 3, 568 miles 8th June 2022 Annual Service 3, 568 miles 5th July 2023 MoT test 3, 571 miles 31st October 2023 Annual Service. NB: The MoT Station is only 200 meters from where the car is stored, hence the mileage readings. This absolutely stunning and ''Almost As New'' Aston Martin DB7 is supplied with a full service history file including all invoices, its original warranty card, original Bill of Sale, purchase correspondence and all related sales brochures, handbooks and instruction manuals. Upon sale it will be given a full PDi and a new MOT. A highly collectable motor car and a fantastic addition to any Aston Martin collection.
