Powered by a 5. 9-litre V8 engine driving via automatic transmission, this quite exceptional Jeep Wagoneer has covered a believed-genuine 62, 600 miles from new and remains in highly original condition, presumed resprayed but never fully restored. Mechanically the car is said to be in very good order, starting immediately after periods of dry-storage and pulling strongly, while the interior seems beautifully original and untouched. The first Wagoneer is the original full-size SUV style design, produced between 1962 and 1991. The new vehicle was introduced in November 1962 for the 1963 model year as a successor to the Willys Jeep Station Wagon that had been built since 1946. It is a full-size body-on-frame vehicle that shared its architecture with the Gladiator pickup. The vehicle was introduced as a station wagon body style, later the pioneering design became known as a "sport utility vehicle" (SUV).
The all-wheel drive SJ body Wagoneer was initially available with rear-wheel drive and remained in production for 29 model years (1963–1991) with a virtually unchanged body structure.
This car presented here is a very cool Jeep that still looks perfect. It is equipped with a tow bar, a roof rack, four-wheel drive and an automatic transmission. It is also completely rust-free and shows great. In this car you really feel like the king of the road. The Jeep had one owner in the USA from 1973 until approximately 2010 when it moved to the Netherlands. The car was registered by the Dutch buyer but soon moved on to the current and effectively only the second owner. The latter took the Jeep to his residence in Italy keeping it registered in the Netherlands. The Jeep currently resides in northern Italy close to Monaco, the perfect place to be parading around at the wheel of this ultra-cool yellow beast. It has a tow hook and would be the ideal means of transporting one's classic Riva speedboat. 'On the button' and ready to be used, the car comes with the sales invoice when new, an owner's manual, history file and Netherlands registration documents.
