Description
One of the first Ferrari 308 GTB in fibreglass converted for racing. This example with a fascinating history was transformed in 1976 according to the specifications of the first Fiche Fia obtained by Ferrari in that year for the homologation of this model for Group 4 competitions. The car was later delivered to French Ferrari importer Charles Pozzi and ended up in the private collection of a French gentleman driver who used it for over twenty years mainly on the track. There are invoices for maintenance and preparation work covering about twenty years of the life of this car now updated with Michelotto specifications with Kugelfischer double mechanical injection and dry sump lubrication. The Marlboro livery was made to the original specification of the 308 GTB Competizione that competed in the Baja Rally in Spain in 1985. The car has recently been mechanically overhauled and has participated in many events including the Concorso d'Eleganza Poltu Quatu Classic 2022. This Ferrari 308 GTB Competizione is included in the list of only 45 cars with Group B / Group 4 type preparation and a recognized sporting past. Ideal car to participate in historic rallies or competitions on the track and road such as the 100 Hours of Modena and the Tour Auto. The car is now registered with Italian plates and documents.
