Description
Ferrari Dino 308 GT4
1978 S reg
LHD
UK Registered
Mot Exempt, road tax exempt
Mileage unknown,
A restoration project, but one that has an extremely solid body shell. Paintwork/ sanding incomplete.
I have the car UK registered (it was imported from USA). I am the first owner and the V5 shows the car as a historic vehicle,
MOT and road tax exempt.
There is a certificate authenticating the car, signed by the worlds leading Ferrari expert Tony Willis.
The V5 shows the make as Ferrari with no model name, so if desired the car could be made into any Ferrari 'Special' with just
Ferrari on the document.
Back to the car itself, The body is in excellent condition and I bare metalled most of the car. the near side and nose I painted in
Ferrari Fly yellow just to confirm that was the colour for me and the car is registered as yellow on V5.
(Original colour appeared to be a dark red.) Wheel arch lips are perfect x4, all the ladder chassis is in excellent condition no rust.
The engine block is from the correct era and its serial number is on the V5. There is some damage to the corner of the block but aluminium specialists could repair this. I have the pistons and con-rods but that is it (block, pistons, rods only).
The car is very incomplete, I was going to make it into a very minimal track inspired car, Lexan windows, minimal trim. There are no pop ups (i was developing an open light style), no engine lid or front bonnet. Bonnet i was offered at £300 same for engine lid.
I do have a RHD pedal box and servo and most of the FRONT suspension and brakes (no shocks). Wheels are the original style x4 with the old TRX tyres.
There is no rear suspension. All parts are available used from Euro-spares or Super-formance.
There is a lot of room for another drivetrain- Suburu, Honda, LS and Chevy have been installed in these cars...
There are some lovely Italian leather seats to be included which suit the car well, rear seat is standard. Original seats are for sale for a couple of hundred pounds on Facebook from someone if required.
The Ferrari is on a very substantial dolly frame on wheels which is included in the sale and you will need this to collect on a flat bed trailer. The body is strapped onto it (which is how it was delivered to me).
Vehicle needs to be viewed, discussed etc. I'm near Reading, Berkshire. UK.
