Description
Power & Co are delighted to offer for sale this great looking Porsche 911 T Targa. Fitted with a 2. 2 flat 6 engine mated to a dog leg 5 speed gearbox developing a spritely 125bhp. Finished in Orange with a black interior. The 911 T spent the first Nineteen years overseas which is believed to be the USA which is where is was imported from. The car was then imported into the UK by a gentleman from Colchester in Septemeber 1990 then sold to its long standing owners of 33 years in January 1991.
The 911 T has been at some point repainted in what is the original colour orange and is currently in very good condition overall with only one or two minor marks in the paint and will most certainly not disappoint at all. The interior also presents very well especially for the age and mileage, but like all old cars which are highly original the carpets do show some sign of wear and tear, the drivers seat also has a small tare in. The Targa roof is also in very good condition and is water tight on the car not letting water in not that it has been out in the rain much with us. The 911 T currently has a set of 14 inch Fuchs wheels which have Goodyear and Falken tyres on. It would be fair to say that this 911 is as good underneath as it is on the top being rust free.
With just 16, 583 miles on the odometer we believe that it is more likely the car has done 116, 583 miles due to being a 5 digit tacho. This 911 T’s most recent maintenance was carried out between November and December 2023 by Porsche specialist Autofarm, after the car failed to start after a year in storage. This included removing the engine and gearbox, replacing various hoses and clips, fitting a new selector shaft seal, installing a new gearbox housing cover, tuning the engine, and painting and fitting the front spotlight aperture covers. The total cost of the work was around £6, 640. Prior to this, the car was serviced in November 2021 at an indicated 16, 426 miles by Autofarm. The work comprised of an engine oil and filter change, along with a Waxoyl of the metal pipes under the car, and a general lubrication service. It was also serviced by Autofarm in November 2019 at an indicated 16, 099 miles by Auto Farm. The work comprised of an engine oil and filter change, along with the replacement of the front boot seal and bonnet buffers, as well as the investigation of an oil leak, and in November 2018 by Auto Farm, which was a routine annual service and investigation of an oil leak, work on the braking system, and an adjustment of the gear linkage selector. Auto Farm also inspected a non-start in January 2022, and performed various bodywork and dent repairs on the car, as well as some areas of painting. There are also two invoices in the file for work carried out on the 911 in 1989 by two separate Porsche specialists in Florida USA.
This 911 is a great example of a 53 year old Porsche with it clearly being looked after and is now ready for its next custodian to enjoy.
