DEPOSIT TAKEN & NOW SOLD ONLY 2 OWNERS FROM NEW + LAST OWNER 44 YEARS & ONLY 38, 776 MILES WITH FSH - UNBELIEVABLE ORIGINAL CONDITION. This car can only be described as a 'Time Warp' example which is in completely original and exceptional condition throughout and we have never seen such an original example as this before! It is totally original and unrestored with no rust anywhere and it is pretty much all original paint as far as we can tell. The car was purchased new from BMW dealer Cotswold Service Station in London Road Gloucester on the 1st June 1977 by a Dr Kenneth Stringer from Stroud in Gloucestershire and he kept the car for 3 years before selling it to Alfa Romeo dealer Baytree Garage in Cheltenham in November 1980. They advertised the car in a local paper (copy shown in the documents) and it was sold to the last/ current owner a Mr Michael Bee in Leckhampton, Cheltenham on 22nd November 1980 when the mileage covered from new was 23, 230. The car is finished in its original colour scheme of 028 Phonix Orange with a Black/ Grey cloth trim and is a fully 'matching numbers' car of course + it was registered with its current number plate TOY 834R (Toy Bear) from new! It has inertia front seat belts and static seat belts in the rear and is a standard car in every respect with its original 1573cc 4 cylinder Engine and 4 Speed Manual Gearbox and its original 13'' Steel Wheels with Chrome Hub Caps. The only recent additions made in preparation for sale are a set of pressed aluminium black & silver number plates, a new exhaust system and a new set of tyres. It has a full service history from new with all of its original documents, handbook pack and manuals, sales brochures and all MOT certificates from new proving the mileage. It has been looked after and maintained by the same garage for the last 25+ years - Pete Edgeworth in Charlton Kings, Cheltenham, and we have spoken with him to confirm the authenticity of the car which of course he was very happy to do. He said that he went to the owner's house every year to collect the car and take back to his workshop and carry out an oil change and MOT + any other little jobs required and then take it back to his house and put it in his garage which was a round trip of no more than 6 miles, hence if you look at the MOT history, the car has covered less than 450 miles in the last 20 years! The car really does drive beautifully with no faults evident, but upon sale the car will be given a new MOT and pre-sales service and it will come with our own customer care package including our HPI/ provenance Checks, 55-point pre-delivery inspection and a 6 months mechanical breakdown Parts & Labour Warranty.
