Subaru Impreza WRX STI 2006
1-owner car and only driven 27 000 km, sold new in Finland
The current and only owner purchased it from “Metro-auto” in Turku, Finland, he purchased it as an "expatriate vehicle”, and it spent the beginning in an underground garage in Italy. After that in Finland, it has also always been kept in an underground garage.
It has not been driven more than a few times in the winter and only in freezing temperatures, so not seen salted roads basically at all. Every year serviced, the fluids and much more always changed as needed. Last time in 2022 all clutch, brake, gearbox and diff oils were changed in addition to engine oils.
Last spring all the tuning modifications were legally MOT/ TUV approved (flex-fuel change was already MOT/ TUV approved before). Last service this spring was oil change and air conditioning service. Oil and other fluids have always been top notch, i. e. Motul and Redline etc.
Original 17" golden wheels with winter tires (not many miles driven). Summer set also low mileage with Nankang semi-slicks on OZ light matte black 17" x 8" Ultraleggera wheels.
Modifications:
The engine internals have been reinforced and other tuning done mainly between 2011-12 with 12 000 km on the clock at Special Tuning Harinen.
The starting point was the SC450 Performance Package from the legendary UK Subaru shop Scooby Clinic ( Scoobyclinic UK ) SC450 Performance Package (wayback link as the new website no longer directly provides it - also long forum discussions (- details above) exist about these SC46 upgrades with dyno results etc.)
So as an addition/ improvement to the UK set the car has e. g. ethanol flex-fuel upgrade so you can fill up with petrol and E85 without worrying about mixture ratios, clutch, FMIC etc.
The 2. 5L engine now has a fantastic torque from the bottom and when the max. power is close to 500hp the performance is naturally really good.

Slightly stiffer stabilizer bar at the rear, so now really neutral in corners.
A perfect "gentleman's rally car" in the finest colour “metallic grey”, even after 18 years the car still looks stylish and quite modern. Also stored in a dark garage for the whole ownership period, so the sun hasn't been able to destroy the paintwork.
Unique specimen without exaggeration.
As well known, the STI has as standard the adjustable centre diff locking (DCCD) + mechanical locking diffs on both axles so really a full 100% 4-wheel drive car. These 2006-07 STI models were then the last "genuine" sedan Impreza ever, so coming rarer every day and especially a car driven this little.
Here is a very good, only minimally visibly changed and well-kept car with superb performance and low mileage. Only negative thing found about the car are dent and scratch repairs (caused by neighbour cars at the garage in Italy and also back in Finland) on three doors + right back corner meaning repainting and some bodywork professionally done on those by official dealer.
Almost all the oem-parts removed because of engine tuning are still stored and available if needed/ wanted, apart from long exhaust pipe parts. So top mount ic, turbo, headers, inlet-parts etc with only that 12 000 km on them.
