Introduced at the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show, the fifth-generation (M139) Quattroporte was styled by Ken Okuyama of Pininfarina whose other credits included the Honda NSX and Enzo Ferrari. More driver orientated than a Bentley Flying Spur or range-topping Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the Maserati had a firmer ride and, in early cars at least, a ‘Duo Select’ paddle-shift transmission that was not at its best in fully automatic mode. Powered by a Ferrari-derived 4. 2 litre ‘quad cam’ V8 engine developing 395bhp/ 333lbft and reputedly capable of 0-60mph in 5. 4 seconds and 171mph, the Quattroporte featured a truly sumptuous interior. For the money there are very few cars that can imbue occupants with the same sense of occasion as a M139.
Finished in Metallic Grey complemented with a Tan leather interior 'WW54 PDW has covered 99, 800 miles and shows just 4 former keepers on HPI. Offered with owner’s wallet, bookpack and well-stamped service book plus a collection of invoices for servicing and maintenance this smart-looking example comes with a current MOT certificate into June 2025.
