In 1993 Porsche introduced what is regarded by many as the most beautiful 911 of all: the Type 993. Over the years the 911 had received numerous aerodynamic and safety-inspired add-ons, diluting the purity of the original form; the Type 993’s arrival marked a return to basic principles, being recognisably a 911 but one in which all functions had been harmoniously integrated in a truly outstanding example of modern automotive styling. The range offered remained pretty much as before, comprising conventional two-wheel (Carrera 2) and four-wheel drive (Carrera 4) models, the legendary Turbo and the Cabriolet convertible, all powered by the latest, 3. 6-litre version of Porsche’s perennial flat-six engine.
Our car was sold new on the 29th March 1994 by Rivervale Porsche of Hove, Sussex, a desirable ‘C16’, UK-supplied example, this particular car is presented in Schwarz Metallic with matching leather interior and features the ever-sought after manual gearbox. The car has just ticked over the 100k Miles mark and this particular example has been in previous family ownership the last 18 years. The previous owner, an enthusiast and engineer with Red Bull Formula 1 acquired the car from his father, who raced a Surtees TS20 in the 80’s. The car has always been well maintained and looked after as to be expected by a motorsport family. The most recent service, in August 2023 was at 99, 792 miles. With an MOT valid until June 2025 with no advisories, included with the vehicle is an impressive history file. Within is the original Porsche book pack containing the Driver’s manual, Porsche Assistance booklet, two further Porsche booklets and the service booklet which contains 13 stamps. There is a large collection of invoices and previous MOT certificates, along with the current V5C document.
So in summary, this is an amazing car, the perfect spec with Manual Gearbox, in wonderful colours, guaranteed low mileage, great history and needing nothing! Be quick if you want this car!
