Such was the pace of GM's innovation, the Eldorado, which had initially been introduced in 1953, entered its third generation in 1957 (as a matter of fact, a two-year cadence on major updates to the Eldorado continued up through the release of the eighth generation car in 1967). Available as a Biarritz convertible or Seville coupe, new styling ensured an Eldorado couldn't be mistaken for anything else on dealer's showrooms, much less on the road. Essentially every conceivable amenity was available as standard or as an optional extra, with prices keeping the model an exclusive sight. Today, these cars are just as inspiring as they were in the past and make for phenomenal cruisers/ show cars.
The exceptional 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible featured here is finished in stunning Black over a gorgeous Red & White leather interior complimented by a Black power-folding convertible top. This Cadillac has been exquisitely restored with incredible attention to detail and has just been released from a respected private collection. Prior to their ownership, this remarkable Eldorado was owned by prominent film producer Richard Donner of Los Angeles. Mr. Donner purchased this Eldorado Biarritz in 1999 from John P Esposato of Beverly Hills and has remained in Southern California since new.
In addition to its impressive condition, this Cadillac retains its numbers matching 365ci V8 and shows a mere 68, 100 actual miles on its odometer. Fitted with essentially every available luxury amenity available in 1957, this Eldorado includes leather upholstery, chrome Sabre wheels, three-piece parade boot, power accessories, air conditioning, and more! Simply put, this is one of the best examples of one of Cadillac's most famous models we have ever offered and is ready to bring many years of enjoyment to its future caretaker. We are especially proud to offer this exceptional 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible to the most astute collector, investor, or enthusiast who appreciates its superb level of performance, luxury, and detailing that helped to make Cadillac “the standard of the world".
