Description
A nice old Alvis in condition 2, running but needing tidying. Mileage is believed to be 40, 700 and the good solid chassis and engine support this. Brakes, gearbox and electrics all working well. Chrome is pretty good. Some wood within the upper boot needs attention but the remainder of the body is strong. The paint surface is largely original and dull in places. Internally it is mature with neatly replaced seat material in keeping with the period but it needs TLC to door cards and fittings. Underneath it is surprisingly solid with a massive chassis and good strong springs, brakes and steering.
The car’s record shows it was first registered in Barrow-in-Furness, reportedly sat for nearly 50 years in a dry garage and was rescued and MoT’d in 2019 at which time the original Reg of HRM284 was removed and it once again sat in a garage, this time in Huddersfield. We have replaced some of the wiring and generally tidied the car so that it all works and drives and is ready for the next stage if desired. It comes with the V5, MoT to October 2024, buff licence book, Alvis TA14 copied handbook, workshop literature and the large tools. In view of the TLC needed, reasonable offers will be considered.
Data: Chassis and Engine No. 22588; Odometer 40, 700; Engine 1892cc; MoT to October 2024.
