1982 Ford Cortina 3. 0 GLS Automatic. RHD Import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid. UK registration has been applied for. Very Solid Car which has never been welded underneath.
Body - MK5 Cortina Shell. Never been welded underneath. Good inner wings, pillars, sills arches, boot floor. Small bubble on driver side scuttle panel. Paintwork is perfectly presentable but by no means a show winner. Front bumper has a bit of a twist. Overall a very original decent looking old car.
Mechanics - Good 3. 0 Engine. Auto box works as it should. Brakes are good. Carb may need adjusted due to the different climate but seems to pull well through the gears. This model has the factory 5 link rear end set up so handles a lot better than a standard one. As with any old car it will need a good checkover from front to back before going full tilt down your local B road.
Interior - Standard Interior. When we got it the seats were a bit wafty so we got our valeter to give it a good clean. They came up not too bad but to be honest a set of seats would transform the interior as the rest is good. Good dash top and door cards.
Wheels - UK spec wide steels with good 175 / 70 / 13 tyres.
This is a good solid old car and a very rare model. It needs a bit updating but will make a cracking example if its shown a bit love. You are welcome to come and see the car. We have a ramp so you can look at it underneath. Delivery can be arranged. Please ask for a quote.
