Description
This early 1995 Honda CB500 is a true testament to who ever has done all the work. Besides the obvious stainless steel exhaust, which by the way sounds great. The gold Renthal bars with bar end mirror. A new brake master cylinder with a braided brake line and an adjustable span lever (clutch lever is also adjustable to match). Allen key bolts through out the whole bike. Tinted front screen. What look to be almost new tyres, chain and sprockets and gold anodised small indicators. Just the overall condition on the bike belies its nearly 30 years old!
It starts on the button (did i mention the exhaust sounds great? Winking smile ). Gearbox, clutch, brakes, electrics all work as Honda intended it just rides really nicely, what more can you say?
No it is not the cheapest CB500 on the market, but definitely one of the best and these early “Disc/ drum” models are now becoming sought after. Not just for their legendary Honda reliability, often making well over 100K when used as a commuter but now once restricted, they can be used on an A2 licence and while yes this nicks apx 10 “gee gee’s” off the motors 58 hp, they are still great fun to ride, especially round the twisties. On top of that, due to now being classed as a “Classic”, a younger rider can afford to insure them (Quoted for 21 year old round here, 1 years licence and on an A2, garaged, in work, no naughties, 4000 miles a year, 250 voluntary excess, comes out just over £1k fully comp). For us to restrict it would be £125 all in, it is a full carb off job, not just a air box restrictor or a lock bolt like some so takes a while to do.
Will be fully prepped and MOT’d prior to leaving us so ready to go.
