We are delighted to offer this rare Pajero Evolution, manufactured in 1997 and imported in 2000.
The road-legal version of the Pajero Evolution was produced between 1997 and 1999. It was based on the 2nd generation Pajero and had many features unique to the model.
Approximately 2, 693 units were produced in order to homologate the type for the Dakar Rally's production-based T2 class.
Equipped with a 3. 5-litre 24-valve DOHC V6 engine with MIVEC and a dual plenum variable intake, this engine produced a claimed 275 bhp at 6500 rpm.
The two-door body incorporates large flared wings, a bonnet scoop, and various other racing-inspired styling elements. The car also features skid plates and red mudflaps for additional off-road protection. The exterior is in good condition with minimal signs of wear. There are one or two stone chips on the bonnet but other than that the car presents very well. The look is enhanced with a set of Ralliart 15 inch alloys shod with matching BF Goodrich All Terrain tyres. There is also a spare alloy and tyre, and it has a rear tow bar fitted.
The interior is clean and tidy and to some extent belies the mileage - a testament to the build quality. There is some very minor wear on the driver’s seat bolster but other than that, the interior is in fine fettle. Front and rear foot mats edged in red also feature.
The example on offer has some history both in Japanese and English and it would appear that the car is registered for the Tracker system - although we are not sure if this is still active. In addition, it would appear to be fitted with a Scorpion Alarm / Immobiliser. There is a bill on file for a timing belt change in 2006.
