Subtle and stylish in silver, this example of Audi’s R8 supercar is one of the limited edition Le Mans models, one of only 100 built. Presented in flawless Ice Silver Metallic bodywork with black and orange leather interior, ‘WV61 UAE’ is powered by Audi’s 4. 2-litre V8, and is further market out as a rare model by being one of only 40 to be fitted with a six-speed manual gearbox. Fitted with multi-spoke alloys, carbon fibre trim, and red brake callipers outside, and a classic open gate for the gear stick inside, the R8 Le Mans edition looks every inch a boneafide supercar.
The vendor is only the fourth keeper in the Audi’s almost 13 years since rolling off the production line, and it has covered an indicated 33, 000 miles since. ‘WV61 UAE’ is considered in superb condition, rated as being ‘excellent’ across all aspects of the R8, including engine, transmission, electrics, bodywork, paint, and interior. Sold with a full service history – with nine dealer stamps and two from specialist workshops – ‘WV61 UAE’ also comes with the dealer brochure and paperwork including past invoices.

Sought after six-speed manual model
The first generation of Audi’s R8 supercar was first shown to the public in 2003, but didn’t arrive as a full production model until 2006. Inspired by the all-conquering Le Mans Audis of the time, the first models were fitted with Audi’s 4. 3-litre FSI V8 engine or the 5. 2-litre FSI V10. Originally available as a coupe, the convertible Spyder arrived in 2008, followed by GT models with improved performance in 2011. The Le Mans edition was launched in 2011 to celebrate Audi’s 10th victory at Le Sarthe. Production continued until 2015, when the second-generation R8 was introduced.
This Car has been entered into Hampson Auctions, The Bolesworth classic and performance car and motorcycle auction, which will be held at Bolesworth Castle, Tattenhall, Chester, CH3 9JJ on Sunday 24th November 2024.
Viewing sessions will take place at Bolesworth castle from 9am - 7pm on Saturday 23rd November and from 9am - 12:00 on Sunday 24th November, with the auction itself commencing at 12pm on Sunday 24th November, and you are very welcome to join us there.
