Much much lighter than a standard Le Mans-
Le Mans 2 frame converted to stressed-member with front mounts on timing cover and new A frame to gearbox rear, plus side-stand repo for security
Frame rails are uncut.
John Williams/ Tank Shop alloy seat and tank
Spondon adjustable anodised yokes
Marzocchi 41. 7mm M1R forks
Spondon calipers (take Lockheed pads and seals)
Spondon 320mm floating discs
Rear floating Brembo calliper and 260mm Brembo floating disc
Astralite 18” wheels
Guzzi swingarm w’ ‘spoon’ cut-out to allow for wider back tyre
Koso electronic speedo/ rev counter
Custom loom by Tich at TWS motorcycle rewires
Keihan stainless sweptback pipes and fruity ‘silencers’
Superlight gel high cranking/ CCA battery in seat hump,
Electrex World rect-reg and generator
Dyna coils
Shock Factory multi adjustable damping/ preload alloy shocks
RAF-technician made carbon fibre LM1 fairing, front and rear guard

950cc hi-compression motor built up by Bedwyr Evans (well known Bristol aeroplane engineer, Guzzi hillclimber/ fast Guzzi builder) - 950 Guzzi hi-comp pistons + C/ Ratio and combustion chambers measured/ matched etc
Raceco SS3 cam and followers
Light steel flywheel
Late-model deep clutch-centre (better clutch action)
Balanced motor by Bassett Down
Alloy timing gears
Raceco chrome-moly pushrods(allows tighter/ quieter clearances than standard Guzzi kit)
Cylinder heads were destined for the Chris Clarke BOTT racer (google it…) Twin-plugged and beautifully ported by Manfred Hecht/ Raceco in New York, but Hecht took so long to do them, the Clarkes switched to the later square-barrel engine by the time they came back, hence became available!)

Valeo starter motor
Mikuni TM 41mm flatslide carbs - super responsive and set up on the dyno for perfect fuelling/ lovely flat power curve.
69bhp at the back wheel (actually very impressive for a round-barrel Guzzi, if you ignore all the hipster bulls** t you read about their ‘90bhp’ Guzzi/ BMWs. Ask any Dyno operative…)

Bike is in Bath UKFar better engineered than the usual alloy tank ’n’ clip-ons fare, this bike is lighter and much faster than standard - very very quick and ‘unlit skip’ stopping thanks to Spondon calipers/ floaters.
I built this 20+years ago, before Hipsters even existed, let alone began heat-wrapping CX500 downpipes
