Description
Norton Commando 750 Roadster MkV. 1973
UK bike with matching Frame, Engine and Gearbox numbers.
I believe this bike was one of the very last 750s made.
Rebuilt by the previous owner it's in very good condition, starts easily and runs very well indeed.
The bike is original except for addition of an external cartridge oil filter, chrome plated yolks and I have changed the large rear light to a Lucas 679 - similar to the earlier models but in a custom alloy housing because I prefer the style. I'm more than happy to swap back to the original rear light if buyer prefers.
Black paint looks OK from 2m but not a great finish. However I have an immaculate yellow tank and side panels which could be fitted if preferred by negotiation. Last in the 750 series, has the strongest cases, 5-plate clutch as well as 932 carbs which give it lively performance. Clutch has been set up for a very light action by correctly setting the plate stack height so that the diaphram spring works optimally , reducing the lever effort. Gearbox has the roller bearing on lay shaft and is correctly shimmed. This bike has regular dry use and starts and runs exceptionally well.
