Description
Ford Model AA 1930 Truck
1. 5 tonne load capacity , very original truck, lots of history, was built at the Trafford Park Ford factory in Manchester in 1928, sold and registered in 1930 to a farmer the 1st owner, was used most of its life on farms, even helped the local army barracks during the war with ammunition and prisoners of war, taking them to the farmers fields in this truck to work, the truck has been maintained throughout its life, parts replaced where needed, it was restored around 20 years ago, and after was kept in dry storage so the paint and patina is very nice , since owning this truck, we done the Indian motorcycle livery writing, and the truck has carried my 1929 Indian scout motorcycle to various shows and events, we just took this truck and drove it to France to the Normandy beach race, where the truck was on display and paraded to the crowds, it is in great running order and I have recently renewed, the points, plugs, coil, distributor, new correct old stock model AA radiator from the USA, new fan belt and replaced the bottom crank pulley wheel, new rad hoses.
The truck is driven weekly, it starts first turn, the timing is perfect.
My Indian motorcycle is also for sale as a package at the right price so these two lovely vintage vehicles can stay together and be on display , for more details or to view please contact me!
