Description
The car is in excellent condition having been restored as a standard car in the USA and mildly hot-rodded here in the UK... no modifications to scare the horses! All the bits have been used to produce a lovely looking car... here's a list of what I know...
1930 Model A Ford Coupe
3300cc 4 banger with GT Speed Head
40's Ford hydraulic drum brakes front and rear
New Stainless tubular inlet/ exhaust manifold (SandS Hotrods, Mark Fretwell)
New Stromberg 97 (Oneill's)
New 12v wiring loom (Down to Earth)
New Electronic distributor (Down to Earth)
New Alternator (Down to Earth)
New starter motor (Oneill's)
New electric fuel pump and regulator (Oneill's)
New 12v red top battery
New leakless water pump (Oneill's)
New aluminium timing gear (Oneill's)
4" drop 32 heavy front axle (Old Yankee Speed Co.)
Reverse eye main leaves front & rear (Old Yankee Speed Co.)
Offenhauser friction shocks front & rear (Speedway Motors)I’ve only had the car for a year but I am I’m now on the trail of something else and this rather lovely car has to go to make space in the garage. It’s a nicely put together rod and still maintains the essential ethos of a period 4 banger. The bodywork is excellent although there are a couple of scratches which aren’t immediately visible. All the right bits are on this car which I believe was restored as standard in the USA and then had the modifications done in this country.
